Vision

Mangum was approached previously by Lantern Capital about a scalable Mixed-Use destination center that focused on bringing together integrated cultures that are emerging en masse throughout the Raleigh Durham Market.  

People who have grown up outside the United States are used to amenities being so nearby, and our overaching vision is to deliver a project that captures the essence of living abroad.   

Key Challenges

Bringing that sort of product requires an international team of investors, architects, and designers that understand the mind of customers who were born and have lived outside the United States.  You also need Patient Capital that sees the vision.

Logistically, the land has a lot of topography challenges and a large buffer running right through the middle of the 30-acre tract.  

Successes

Once we had done an exhaustive study on the site, the initial capital raise took 72 hours.
