A husband and wife had a desire for a modern farmhouse set amongst pastoral settings in rural Hillsborough, NC.
Key Challenges
This is one of those projects where the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The homeowners were involved, were gracious, and good-natured. There really weren’t any major challenges other than coffee getting cold because of the long drive from Mangum’s office in Raleigh.
Successes
It’s because of clients like this that Mangum builds houses.
Additionally, the house features an interior courtyard in the middle of the house with French Limestone Pavers along the border.
The homeowner had also reclaimed some black walnut from a barn and had a countertop created out of it.
