While most of the concrete masonry homes we build are sold before they are started, we do maintain inventory that is available to purchase. When we do begin building concrete masonry homes that are not pre-sold, a lot of effort and time is spent recreating Period Style. In Late 2007, we will be starting on a replica of a chateau originally built at the turn of the 20th century in Normandy, France. This replica will involve an authentic slate roof, travertine stone flooring, and a hearth room with a large masonry fireplace recreated as it was originally built over 100 years ago.

We do not publish our building plans online. We do this for several reasons. One of which is that once we've built a home, we generally do not like it to be built by another builder down the street that does not understand Period Style, and will likely confuse certain elements in an attempt to pass it off as his own. It’s gotten to the point where we can no longer leave plans in the permit boxes due to other builders taking them to copy and build elsewhere.

We will however, be happy to show you floorplans and elevations of houses for you to look through at our offices.

We do provide front elevations (the front appearance of a house) for you to look through, as well as a detailed list of features and historical symmetry with the current home.

Keep in mind that we usually spend about 6 months on historical preparation for each spec home we build. Every inch of the plan is looked at and examined, both for livability and for accuracy. For instance, when you may ask why a door is in a certain place, we can give you a story behind it, usually arising out of some house that was built in Florence around the 1500's.

Our family recovered a door that Napoleon walked through, and was installed at a relative's home outside Munich. The rest of the room is designed around that door, due to its historical significance. (and yes, the door is pretty short) Each house needs to have a story. A beginning. A reason. A life of its own. We create those kinds of houses.
